You('re All I Need)

from In This Together by The Runways

lyrics

You're not the kind to make love rewind. Time ticks away and it reaches a new day. What I wanted to say could be said in a few ways. You're silent though in your kingdom of thrones, overthrown by the things we had known.

Yeah, that was me, lying through my teeth when I said that you left when we needed you most - the vacant skies are best for us both. Gods are men who drink cheap scotch and spend nights forgetting all the hours they lost.

They were the mountains. You were the mountains.

You, you, you.

You're all I need. I'll be right here.

Never know what to say when the time is right, I know what to say, but then I'm scared of something. Close the curtains up against the night, that was the day when you were the mountains.

Well, that was then, but we'll be there yet again. Turn over the glass, let it pour down the time. We'll capture the sand and the sleep in your eyes. Then fall away pass right through the frame, you'll fall away because I won't say you're name.

Now lets create something called 'fat'. Pull up a chair on the edge of the cliffside, watch the sky melt away in your eyes. Feel the ghosts of the ones you had known. Feel alone and then reach for the phone.

They were the mountains. You were the mountains.

You, you, you're all I need.

Never know what to say, never learnt how to pray.
